A Celtic Wedding Prayer

May you always remember that you are the shield for each others back,

that you are both heaven and earth, lover and friend, protector and companion.

You hold the key to the living and dying in each others world.

The bonds you share today are your sacred pledge that you place the other before you, and your union above all else.

Together may you create a home that becomes an island of serenity on a chaotic day,

a place of sanity when the world has gone insane. May your home be your sanctuary where peace and love and silliness rein supreme.

Irish Blessings

May green be the grass you walk upon,
May blue be the skies above you,
May pure be the joys that surround you,
May true be the hearts that love you.

A sunbeam to warm you, Good luck to charm you.
A Sheltering angel, So nothing can harm you,
Laughter to cheer you, Faithful friends near you,
And whenever you pray, Heaven to hear you.

May you always have work for your hands to do.
May your pockets hold always a coin or two.
May the sun shine bright on your windowpane.
May the rainbow be certain to follow each rain.
May the hand of a friend always be near you.
And may God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.

Blessing of the Apaches-

Now you will feel no rain, for each of you will be shelter for the other.
Now you will feel no cold, for each of you will be warmth to the other.
Now there will be no loneliness, for each of you will be companion to the other.
Now you are two persons, but there is only one life before you.
May beauty surround you both in the journey ahead and through all the years,
May happiness be your companion and your days together be good and long
upon the earth.
